Join us for another evening of community, creativity, and expression at Kọ Cafe’s November Open Mic!

This month, we’re excited to feature Savage Writer (@savagewriter973) — a multifaceted artist from Newark, NJ with over a decade of experience in writing, music, performing, filmmaking, and editing. Since 2014, Savage has made it his mission to inspire through truth-telling and resilience, using his story to encourage others to keep walking their own path.

He’s graced stages across the region, including Voices in Power and Poetry Me, Please, captivating audiences with his raw energy and authenticity. Currently, Savage is working on two poetry anthologies set to release in 2026, along with a hip-hop album and film project — all deeply rooted in storytelling and self-expression.

Whether you come to share or to listen, the mic is open and the vibe is always real.
