Knoxville Jack and Jill 50th Anniversary Children's Literacy Gala
WHAT: To celebrate 50 years of service in the Knoxville community, the Knoxville Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. will host a Children’s Literacy Gala and silent auction fundraising event as a part of its literacy initiative for school-aged children. Our platinum sponsor, The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, will be highlighted along with a host of other corporate sponsors and donors from the Knoxville area. Corporate sponsorship slots are still available.
The public is invited. Please bring your family. The event includes served dinner, silent auction featuring local businesses with exclusive items, and dancing.
The Children’s Literacy Gala is the first premier formal family events hosted by the Knoxville chapter and Royal Teens. Along with a variety of prestigious guests, our charter and legacy members will be honored throughout the evening.
WHEN: 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016, Crowne Plaza Hotel - Downtown Knoxville. Silent Auction/Reception begin at 4:30-5:30 P.M.

DETAILS: Believing in the Power to Make a Difference through Literacy, the Knoxville Chapter of the Jack & Jill Foundation, Inc. has received a competitive reading corner grant from JJOAF and First Book to fund a K-3 reading corner within The First Tee Learning Center at Williams Creek Golf Course in Knoxville, TN. Additionally, we have sponsored the East Tennessee Youth Leadership Program which was designed to enhance skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), and improve academic performance on standardized tests. With your dollars, the goal to create leading programs for school-aged children in the Knoxville community will be achieved.
