About this event
There is a real reason why we as women specifically have a hard time saying no. From cultural norms to peer pressure to sheer physicality, there are many factors that get in the way of us uttering those two little letters that can amount to something so much greater.
I have my own story, you have yours. Janelle has hers. In this informal discussion, we'll get together to share stories and learn from one another, while also identifying some tips that help us get to NO faster and with ease.
This event is hosted by Brown Betties founder, Peppur Chambers and author of the forthcoming book, Knowing Your NO and her dear friend, book contributor, and domestic abuse survivor, Janelle Ebner.
About Peppur & Janelle:
We grew up together in Kenosha, Wisconsin. From pom-pon squads to English class to being near neighbors, we found a way to take care of one another then and now. With Janelle still in Kenosha and Peppur in LA and Phoenix, these two educators come together to talk about the lovely word NO.
Note: We are holding this event this month in honor of Domestic Violence Abuse Month. We support and honor survivors and those working to get there.
