Event description

Description

This event is an informative session for individuals who believe they have faced discrimination in rental housing - whether based on criminal background checks, requests for accommodations of disabilities, being the victim of domestic violence, etc. We also encourage individuals to attend who are interested in learning more about their rights under the Fair Housing Act. We will not be discussing landlord-tenant rights. Lunch will be provided. All attendees must register for the event.

If you are interested in sharing your personal experiences concerning housing application denials based on arrest or other criminal records, a representative will be available from 10:00am - 11:00am and 1:30pm - 2:30pm to hear from you.

With questions or to share your personal experiences please reach out to Patricia Okonta at pokonta@naacpldf.org or 212-965-2229.

If you are travelling by MARTA you can catch the Number 32 Bouldercrest to Alabama Street (Firepoint).
