Event description

Description

How would you like to improve your leadership and personal effectiveness? Join Professor Marcia Ruben and participate in a "NeuroStroll" – a self-tailored, experiential exercise designed to identify and strengthen the parts of your brain that contribute to your success. Before the session, you'll identify a personal development goal that is important to you. For instance, you might benefit from more confidence in:

· Making a presentation

· Running a meeting

· Speaking up when you disagree

· Being more direct

· Networking in a room of strangers

· Showing empathy to others

Your participation in the NeuroStroll exercise will help you implement cutting-edge ideas from neuroscience in your personal and professional decision-making. (Participants will complete a brief and anonymous pre-survey and a post survey, and Prof. Ruben will share the results of this research study with all who participate.)

Prof. Ruben is also seeking 5-6 volunteers to help with this NeuroStroll session. Please contact her at mruben@ggu.edu.

Prof. Ruben, PhD, is Chair of the Management Department and holds the Russell T. Sharpe Professorship. She has more than 25 years of consulting, counseling and executive coaching experience, and she helps individuals, teams and companies excel by focusing on the human and organizational system issues that impact performance and growth. She has co-authored several articles that are recognized as thought-leaders in the change management and coaching industry.
