Calling all knitters!
Let's do some knitting in the Lavender Field!

Create a gorgeous felted tote bag & a needle felted embellished pocket with lavender flowers!


Come knit in the lavender field at Norwood Farm and create a gorgeous knit & felted tote bag with a felted embellished pocket with lavender flowers! This is a two-part class series so you get twice the fun! The first class, June 16th, we will have a casting on party, learn tips and techniques to the perfect felted projects while taking in the sight and smells of lavender. You will take home your started project and finish creating the pocket and beginning the tote bag. The second class on June 23rd, you will be instructed how to fiber knit a bouquet of lavender onto the tote pocket and how to attach your pocket to your felted bag.

Recommended Skill Level – Confident beginner

Skills Required – knitting, purling, knitting in the round, increase & decrease stitches. Materials you will need to purchase for class:

Supply list you will need to bring
5 Skeins of yarn, Cascade 220 worsted-weight yarn we used color turtle 9461 but you could also use #8903 or #9599, #9599
29" US #11 or #13 Circular Needle
Black Cover Brand Plastic D-Shaped Handle (6-1/2" Wx4-1/2" H) (or handles of choice)
2 stitch holders, 4 stitch markers (one in contrasting color)
Darning Needle
Felting foam
Felting needles

About the instructor-Lisa Carney-Fenton, is an experienced independent knitwear designer known for her exceptionally and meticulously written patterns and has over 10 years of experience in teaching students knitting skills. She teaches weekly classes as well as private instruction at various locations and works 1 day a week at North West Wools yarn store.
