Event description

Description

Learn to chop like a pro (and keep all fingers intact!) in this short, sharp workshop from Chef Kanthi.

You will learn a range of different cuts such as chop, slice, mince, julienne, paysanne and chifonnade. Practice your skills on a range of different vegetables and core ingredients. Then finish by preparing and cooking prawns (or tofu) to create a delicious, Asian inspired salad which you will sit and enjoy together.

Chef Kanthi has taught hundreds of people knife skills and other cookery techniques when working at Jamie Oliver's Recipease before he set up the Curry Leaf Cafe. Find out more about Kanthi and the other cooks who teach in the Community Kitchen.

Tickets for this event include:

  • professional cookery tuition

  • all ingredients and equipment

  • hot drinks throughout the session

  • a light meal at our sociable dining table (you are welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy with the meal)

  • all recipes from the class.

Any profits raised from this class support our community cookery activities - where everyone can experience the benefits of cooking and eating together, regardless of finance, confidence or ability.
