Klezmer Workshop & Jam
Overview
BOSTON'S BACKROOM PRESENTS
KLEZMER JAM
Hosted by violinist Rebecca Mac!
4:00 PM: WORKSHOP
We’ll learn a tune together, slowly by ear. If you don’t know a lot of tunes, or you’re looking to add to your repertoire, this is a great opportunity for the Klez-pros and amateurs alike to learn something new!
5:00 PM: INTERMISSION
Light refreshments & an open top shelf bar follow the workshop!
5:30 PM: JAM
Bring a tune to lead, play along, do a dance, or just come to listen! All are welcome!
NOTE: There's just one difference between this and a free ticket: your donation keeps the music going! Our concerts are always free to attend but are not free to produce. We put your donations straight into the next concert to keep bringing Boston amazing new Jewish music events.
ACCESSIBILTY
The Boston Synagogue is handicapped accessible and an easy walk from the Red Line, Orange Line, Green Line, and BlueBike stations.
If you need to drive, there are handicapped parking spots at the front door and no stairs from parking to seating or restrooms. It also has non-fixed seating, which means we can accommodate wheelchairs in any row and allow folks in wheelchairs to sit with their friends, families, or PCAs.
