Kizomba 101 Crash Course for Beginners. Thursday Meetup at Henke. 03/23

If you are just starting Kizomba dancing or never danced Kizomba before this is the class you should join! Kizomba Training Day is a 3-hour easy to follow, fun, and immersive course for ultra beginners. Ideal for singles and couples that like to learn the basics and foundation turns of Kizomba dancing. You don't need to bring a dance partner, and if you do, you can stay together.

Kizomba Training Course Material: Learn techniques in leading and following, basic steps, timing variations, connection exercises, weight change while dancing with a partner, how to recognize the music, dance etiquette, social dance combinations and figures. During the whole course we will help you each step of the way.

Singles and couples welcome. You don't need to bring a dance partner, and if you do, you can stay together. No dancing experience required.

No walk-ins allowed! Please RSVP to save your spot and keep the class balanced.

🥇 Ultra beginners! We start from scratch. No experience required.

👕 Casual / Gym attire. Low heels or flats. Leather soles recommended. Avoid rubber soles and sandals.

🍹 Food and bar available.

👥 Event is for ages 18+ to dance, 21+ to drink.

COURSE SCHEDULE

7PM: Intro and foundations

8PM: Improver figures, turns, footwork

9PM: Intermediate figures and combinations

10PM: Social dancing till 12:00a

$25/p in advance, online paid by Wednesday at midnight.

Thursday: $30/p online | $35/p at the door.

✓ Couples (partners):

$45 (Save $10) in advance, online paid by Wednesday at midnight.

Thursday: $55/couple online | $60/couple at the door.

Do not show up unnannounced. This is a 3-hour course. We need to keep the ratio between leads and follows even.

We accept cash, venmo, cashapp and zelle. Please no credit cards.

✓ Free street parking around Market Square park. Congress St, Travis St, Milan St, Preston St.

✓ Read parking signs. Do not park in commercial and emergency red zones.

✓ Please don't forget to take your valuables with you or place them in your trunk out of plain view.

✓ Bar (and sometimes food) is available through the night. The venue is excited to host us! Show them your support.

✓ No outside drinks allowed to any class or party.
