Description
Hosted the Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis Club at Wood County – Nepco Lake Park just South of Hwy 13 off Griffith Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids.
Register online by midnight, Friday February 14th, or in-person at the door on February 15th
Through this program we hope to introduce families to activities which will them closer to nature.
Activities include:
- broom ball
- snowshoeing
- cross country skiing
- snowmobiling
- ice fishing
- air rifle range
- fur trapping
- beagle dog trials
- more..
- Event is open to the public and free to attend. Lunch and prize drawing will be provided to all attendees. (Must be present to win).
Participate in eight outdoor activities throughout the entire day. All equipment is provided at no cost. Come dressed in layers for the various activities.
Today’s children are spending less time outdoors and interacting with the natural world, 20% less time.
We feel it is important to encourage families to be active and set a foundation for our children to establish a healthy lifestyle.
The park has an excellent sledding hill, don’t forget to bring your sleds!
