Neonatal Kitten Rescue and Washington County Animal Shelter are pawsitively thrilled to bring Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw, to NE Tennessee!

Come out for two fun, interactive and educational workshops with Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw. We'll have an information-packed day, a VIP Meet-N-Greet, a Kitten Shower, Vendors and Rescues, Food Trucks and More!

Hannah Shaw is an award-winning humane educator, kitten rescuer, and unwavering animal advocate who has dedicated her life to finding innovative ways to protect animals. Her project, Kitten Lady, strives to create global change in the way we perceive and treat the tiniest and most vulnerable felines: orphan kittens.

Kitten Lady provides educational media, training resources, and instructional workshops and consulting services that help individuals and organizations learn how to save the lives of kittens--in a fun and engaging format.

Shaw is the author of the upcoming book Tiny But Mighty, and the upcoming children’s book Kitten Lady’s Big Book of Little Kittens. She has been featured as a guest expert on Animal Planet's My Cat From Hell, and her work has been profiled in People Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and other mediaoutlets around the world.

Hannah is also the founder of Orphan Kitten Club, a nonprofit rescue organization that provides services for neonatal kittens in the San Diego area.

PROGRAM:

Saving Kittens Lives

11 AM - 1 PM

This workshop provides a thorough overview of issues pertaining to the care and protection of neonatal and orphaned kittens as well as shine a light on the need for more foster parents and provide the audience with the tools they need in order to save kittens’ lives.

Community Cats 101

1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Fun, informative workshop for members of the public, volunteers, staff, and anyone interested in felines. This workshop provides us an overview of issues pertaining to feral and community cats, examines the various programs that can save them, and dives deep into how to humanely and effectively trap, neuter, return, and care for the cats in our communities. Hands-on demonstrations and entertaining videos will pique the interest of first-time volunteers, and even seasoned trappers will discover new insights through discussions of contingency planning and creative ways to trap and care for our feral friends.

Meet and Greet and Q & A

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

VIP TICKET REQUIRED (Limited to 62 People)

Meet and Greets offer an opportunity for you to spend one-on-one time with Kitten Lady. Kitten Lady provides a photo backdrop, as well as signed and personalized kitten cards for guests to take as a thank you. All VIP ticket holders will receive a swag bag and be provided with cake and refreshments.
