Event description
Join MetroLab Network, Karen Lightman (Metro21), and Chris Goranson (Policy Innovation Lab) to talk about equity in a remote world.

About this Event

Engagement of our various stakeholders has always been a difficult task. The threat of COVID-19 has exacerbated the need to engage as many as possible--but with the caveat that physical proximity is off the table. How might we engage our publics? What does equity in this space look like?

Join MetroLab Network, Karen Lightman (Metro21, CMU), and Chris Goranson (Policy Innovation Lab, CMU) for a Kitchen Table Talk--a small, informal discussion (maybe even from your own kitchen table). During this Kitchen Table Talk, we will share:

  • examples of ways to engage our publics while still maintaining physical distance best practices,
  • tips on which tools (both digital and analog) might be most useful--and how to use them effectively, and
  • other thoughts and considerations on what and how we consider ‘engagement’ alongside physical distancing best practices.

Those with backgrounds in civic engagement, digital engagement, and equity in local decision-making are encouraged to attend--all are welcome!

This event is limited to a maximum of 10 participants. There is also a waitlist for those who might not make the first 10.

Stay tuned for more Kitchen Table Talks!
