Kitchen Sink Residency Work-in-Progress Showings
A sneak peek at the developing work of our first-ever group of Kitchen Sink Residents!
About this event
Check out a split bill featuring works in development by the 2019-2021 Theatre Row Kitchen Sink Residents! These five companies will each present a 15-minute excerpt of the pieces they're working on as part of the Kitchen Sink Residency.
The companies and Works-in-Progress are:
The Assembly — In Corpo (A new musical about a dystopian corporate workplace in the near-future)
Broken Box Mime Theater — Capacity (An exploration of the human body’s capacity as a vessel for communication through a dozen short-form pieces)
LubDub Theatre Company — On the Lawn (An investigation of the roots of America’s backyard through installation art, music, and movement)
Noor Theatre — First Down (A play about a football star wrestling with the decision to come out as an Arab-Muslim during the Super Bowl by praying to Allah after scoring a touchdown)
Superhero Clubhouse — Mammelephant (A time-warping musical play exploring otherness and displacement in the era of climate change)
On Friday 2/14, stick around after the performance for a casual celebration with the artists in the Theatre Row Lounge!
About the performance:
The performance will run about one hour and 45 minutes with a ten-minute intermission and short breaks between each 15-minute excerpt.
