Kirklees Safeguarding Children Board (KSCB), Kirklees Safeguarding Adults Board (KSAB) and Community Safety Partnership (CSP) are coming together for Kirklees’ first ever Safeguarding Week.
The week will raise awareness of the role everyone has in safeguarding children and adults at risk and will signpost support and intervention available in all localities, voluntary and statutory sectors. There will also be training and workshops for both professional and general public covering related topics.
Safeguarding Week in Kirklees begins with this launch event where Adrian Lythgo, Chief Executive, Kirklees Council will officially open the week of awareness. Representatives will showcase short film-clips of the work currently underway across the Partnership as well as the launch of a number of new initiatives. Market stalls with information about the range of services available to support safeguarding in Kirklees will be available for people to browse and find out more.
