Experience this beautiful workshop that represents the journey of healing. The story of Kintsugi comes from when an ancient emperor broke his favorite bowl, he had asked his staff to repair the bowl for him, after some trial and error, the bowl was put back together with gold, making it more valuable than it was before it was broken, not only in its value, but in its beauty. The tradition of kintsugi has come to represent that even after you have been broken, the process of putting yourself back together represents the value and beauty of growth and healing.

During this workshop, we will break a bowl and put it back together with gold. While our bowls are drying we will participate in a nurturing yoga class with specific movements to ease our nervous systems, then we will listen to the soothing sounds of singing bowls and other sound healing tools. You will come away from this workshop with tools to ease our nervous systems as well as a cherished bowl representing your healing journey.

*please bring a box to carry your kintsugi bowl home and then allow it to dry for at least 24 hours

Proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Saprea. Saprea exists to liberate individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, funded by a combination of public and private donations. Our offices are located in Lehi, Utah and Alpharetta, Georgia.
