About this event
Curious about NYC's underutilized spaces (roofs) and how green roofs operate, function, and perform? Do you also love plants and the insects and birds they support? Join Newtown Creek Alliance to care for the green roof meadows at Kingsland Wildflowers!
We will provide sanitized gloves, tools, and maintenance guidance - no experience required. We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes, and bringing along your personal water bottle and sunscreen. There are bathrooms on site. Do not attend if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19. If you are unable to attend, we ask you to please release your spot at least one day in advance.
