Kilncast Boxes w/ Murrine Lids*
*SiNaCa Exclusive Workshop: This workshop hasn’t happened in North America!..yet.
What good is a box without a lid? What good is one technique alone? In this one of a kind workshop you’ll learn two innovative techniques while creating a kilncast glass box complete with a Vitrigraphmurrine lid.
Participants will learn the basics of Nathans widely sought after Vitrigraphmurrine methods, from loading the kiln to working hands on with hot glass to pull murrine.
The resulting Vitrigraph material will then be used immediately to create a decorative lid for a custom kilncast glass box that will be made in class using an assembled vermiculite board mold system.
The only prerequisite is the ability to confidently cut sheet glass and a willingness to be challenged. All levels are welcome.
SiNaCa Studios uses and teaches with Bullseye Glass (90coe) exclusively in our kiln forming studio.
