This is the first of a three course series that is designed to introduce students with no glass working experience to the possibilities of kiln formed glass. In this 4-week survey course, we will focus on safety, tools, basic firing and cold working techniques. Students will create complete three individual projects: Hanging Sun Catcher, 6x6” Platter 12x6” Platter. Students are given an $80 materials credit for the class. Additional glass is available for purchase in the SiNaCa Store. SiNaCa Studios uses and teaches with Bullseye Glass (90coe) exclusively in our kiln forming studio.
The mission of SiNaCa Studios, a national center for Art Glass Education, is to provide an opportunity to experience the rich tradition of glass as a creative medium through education and studio involvement.
