Description

Educators please come to one of our workshops to learn about the the science and technology around wind turbines and blade design. The energy-based content combined with practical classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom.

These workshops are also designed to prepare you and your students to participate in the KidWind Challenges we will be holding in Colorado in April 2018. What is a KidWind Challenge?

What can you expect?

  • This is a FREE Training! You will receive free classroom materials. With a chance to win cool prizes!

  • Materials are geared toward middle school and high school educators (4th -12th grade), but all kinds of educators are welcome -- home school, informal, museum.

  • We will explore lessons around wind energy, wind turbines, blade design, 3D printing and wind farm siting.

  • Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of wind energy. They will learn about how wind power works and how to implement activities in your classroom.
