Why do they act that way? It’s not fair! It’s embarrassing!
These complaints are often voiced by kids who have a parent or sibling with a mental illness. NAMI Minnesota’s Kidshop provides a fun setting where kids aged 7-17 join in activities, share concerns, get support, and learn they are not alone.
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS LEARN? Kids will learn basic mental illness education, as well as coping strategies. They will also connect with other kids who can relate to their experiences and provide support.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE? This workshop is for kids ages 7-17 who have a parent or sibling living with a mental illness. Not sure if this is a good fit for your child? Call Kara at 651-645-2948 x114.
