Kid's Summer Program: Week 1, July 8-12

Ages: 7 - 12 years old (inquire for 6 years)

No prior baking experience necessary! We will learn how to measure solids and liquids, discover how different ingredients alter a recipe, try numerous techniques and find one that works for us, introduce tools used when baking (some very basic) how to prepare for pan baking, and more. During the week, we will tackle one of the following each day:

* Baking quick bread and muffins
* Baking several varieties of cookies
* Baking a cake and/ or cupcakes
* Bake a fruit pie
* Bake a yeast bread

All baking will be in our electric oven, not over the hearth. As this will be summer, we will have A/C on in the tavern. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring an apron to wear while here. We will not incorporate nuts in any recipes. This is a STEM-based educational program.

Option 1: 9am - 12pm, $120 per child
Option 2: 9am - 2:30pm, $180 per child, bring bagged lunch
