The Winters Heritage House will host three planned kids summer arts and crafts workshops this summer. All classes have an age recommendation of 8 and up and registration costs $15 each, with a discount for siblings and for those registering for all three classes.

Felted Soap Workshop

Thursday, June 22 - 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Taught by Susan Wheelersburg

Felted soap is simply a bar of soap that is wrapped in colorful wool fibers. In this fun, sudsy workshop you will use the wet felting technique where the strands of wool fiber that surround the soap shrink and cling to the bar of soap as you soak and rub the fibers in soapy water. The results are fantastic!

Sewing Workshop

Wednesday, July 19 – 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Taught by Teresa St. Angelo

Sewing is a wonderful hobby. This workshop is for beginners, as well as those with experience. You will create a small pillow with your own unique and customized design. Explore sewing different shapes and stitches. Easy to learn and quick to sew!

Weaving Workshop

Thursday, August 10, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Instructor TBA

Weaving is both relaxing and rewarding and drinking straws make it quick and easy to weave a bookmark or a bracelet. You will use drinking straws along with the over, under, over technique to produce a one-of-a-kind piece. You can customize your piece by adding some beads. Perfect for you to keep or give as a gift!
