Get ready for some family fun as your child learns the basics of savory and sweet fondues! Celebrating community first, this mini-cooking demonstration features a dish that's all about sharing: the fondue. Updating the traditional bread dippers, we'll be tasting items from our own Candler Park Village: biscuits, pizza and tortilla chips. Sweet fondues, namely melted chocolate and sea salt caramel, will be part of our celebration! Adults are free.
This class will be led by Candler Park resident, Chef Silvia Edelstein of Word of Mouth Cooking. Chef Silvia has worked with several James Beard Award chefs in Honolulu, San Francisco and Atlanta. Taught at The Art Institute of Atlanta, Culinary Arts Management program but now specializes in afterschool elementary age kids cooking classes.
During the class there will be a demonstration, some hands on helping / sampling and all students will be able to taste and share their prized creations!
Registration is $15 per a child (parents are free of course!)
Recommended ages are 5+
