Kids RhythmJAM!™ - Drumming Fun For Everyone!™
Event Information
Description
Kids RhythmJAM!™ is where everyone gets permission to play and make noise to create rhythm and song!! Come & enjoy group drumming with your family and friends. A Kids RhythmJAM!™ drum circle helps build self-confidence, self-esteem, expands imagination and nurtures creative thinking. Instead of "sit down", "be quiet", and "don't touch"; now it’s time to jam with parents and meet new friends!
In a recent research study that was published in the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, found that participating in drumming activities led to significant social and emotional improvements for the students involved.
Family Fun! Kids, Parents, Grandparents, all drum together getting in "rhythm", singing songs, and enjoying the process of being creative in-the-moment!! All ages are welcome!
Drumming is an excellent way for children to learn self-awareness, listening skills, coordination, cooperation, and patience. Drumming, rhythm, and song create a healthy environment for development. Drumming is also an effective way to engage children who have difficulty focusing and connecting with others. Rhythm-Based and Music-Based programs can also build valuable skills for communicating and processing information. Repetitive rhythm and motion have positive physiologically, cognitive and emotional effects, and can be a valuable aid to learning and growth.
