With election day just around the corner, KRS youth will learn about elections, politics, and creating new laws in our "Making a Difference Through Government Service" program. As part of this timely program, the kids will have an opportunity to read about some relevant laws and amendments, and our guest speaker STEPHEN C. SMITH (candidate for Congressional district 31) will then lead the kids in creating bills of their own!

PARKING: For detailed directions, click here. Park at Mission's underground parking structure, which is next to the Mission (a red building) and a green pay toilet. Drive up to gate in view of camera, and gate will open once you are in view of the security cameras. You may park in any open space. Carpooling is encouraged. Take elevator to 1st floor, let Receptionist know you are here to volunteer for KRS, and then you will be buzzed in to the secure 4th floor.
BACKGROUND CHECK: Because KRS works with children, we are required to do a background check on all volunteers. Thus, before you can volunteer at KRS, you must complete a new volunteer application and bring with you to KRS' sign-in a form of photo identification (e.g., a driver's license) for background check purposes. Please fill out a new volunteer application online here before coming to volunteer.
READING TIPS/FAQ: Please review the Reading Tips and FAQ here before coming to the Saturday reading program.
CANCELLATIONS: If you must cancel, please give us at least 48 hours notice so we can find a volunteer replacement if necessary.
