About this Event
Children are invited into a whimsical environment where they’ll learn how to manage a budget and shop for their friends and family... all on their own. A kid-sized entertaining & educational experience for our littlest shoppers, Kids Market teaches kids the joys of gift shopping and giving.
Admission* includes:
- 30-40-minute experience (variable by child)
- 2 socially distanced live puppet shows
- Section of giftable items for purchase, ranging from $10-$25 each (no purchase required). Candles, Jewelry, Ornaments and more!
- Clipboard, shopping list and pencil (all items are sanitized between guests, or are for 1-time use)
- Kids Market-branded gift bag for each gift purchased + gift tag sticker
- Kids Market photo wall (self-serve)
- Scavenger hunt

Guest Experience:
• Reservations:
All participants are required to register through Eventbrite and purchase a ticket for a designated time slot. You’ll receive a confirmation email once you register. Please print this confirmation and bring it with you, or, have it available on your phone.
• Onsite Check-In:
The Market is located on Level 1, near J. Crew. This is a timed entry experience, so we recommend arriving 25 minutes early for parking and check-in. Visitors will check in with staff and children will receive matching numbered wristbands for guardian/child, clipboard, blank shopping list, gift tags, and a pencil.
Please note that masks are required at all times by adults and children. Carefully read the Important Guest Reminders below for more information.
• The Market:
Children will enter the Puppet Theater where our puppet friends will help explain how the Kids Market works and get the kids ready to shop. There are gifts ranging from $10, $15, $20, and $25. Based on their agreed-upon budget and shopping lists set with parents/guardians, kids will shop & decide what to buy. Market guides will be available inside the space to assist as needed.
Parents/guardians will be able to review final purchase amounts and will only be charged for the amount the child opted to spend of their allotted budget. Children will not be permitted to add more than this amount to their shopping lists but can certainly opt to spend less. Purchasing gifts is not mandatory. Be aware, we only accept credit cards.
Please note, this experience is meant for kids to enjoy on their own; parents/guardians must remain in the Kids Market area outside the perimeter, which is designed for adults to be able watch from a distance. Please see FAQs for more information.
• Scavenger Hunt:
At check out, each child will be given an activity sheet with a scavenger hunt to hunt for animals around the perimeter of The Market. This activity is sponsored by Too Small to Fail.

FAQs:
• Are adults allowed into the experience? Capacity inside the Kids Market is limited, and we encourage children to navigate the space on their own. Though we want this to be a fun solo experience for your child, one parent or guardian may accompany a child if assistance is required.
• Why is the recommended age 5-12? This activity is meant to be fun and educational. Basic reading, writing and math skills are needed in order to navigate the shopping experience easily. One parent or guardian may accompany a child to assist.
• Does my child need to know how to read and write to participate? We would like your child to manage their shopping list on their own using basic reading, writing, and math skills. If further guidance is needed one parent or guardian may enter the space.
• Can a child under 5 participate if they are accompanied by an older child? Of course! The older child is welcomed to help assist the younger one navigate the experience. All children will need a ticket.
• Will guardians be able to watch? Yes, the perimeter is 4-5 feet tall allowing parents to watch their children at all times.
• What types of gifts will be available? The Market will feature a variety of curated items ranging from $10-$25, inclusive of tax. Items include candles, jewelry, ornaments, and more.
• Is there a minimum amount of money I need to give my child to shop with? No, there is no minimum spend required, however when setting a budget for your child, please keep in mind that gift prices range from $10-$25 dollars each.
• I bought a ticket, but I cannot make it. Can I get a refund? Yes, refunds will be issued if request is submitted 7 days prior to your session time.
• What if I miss my time slot? Please email Eventbrite to see if it is possible to reschedule your experience. Please note we may not be able to accommodate rescheduling requests.
• Can I purchase a ticket at the mall? Yes, you may purchase a ticket to participate in the Kids Market. Please note we do not accept cash at the door.
• If my child has a disability, can I or another guardian enter the Kids Market with them? Yes, please speak with staff member at check-in.
• What if I want to return my gift? We’re sorry, returns and exchanges cannot be accepted.
• How do I pay for the gifts? At checkout the parent and or guardian will be told how much their child has spent (equal to, or less than their budget) and will be asked to pay for these items. We only accept Credit Cards, thank you for understanding.
• What if my child doesn’t find a gift, he/she wants to buy? Is my ticket refundable? Admission price does not include the purchase of gifts. Purchasing a gift is not mandatory. Refunds for admission will only be issued if request is submitted 7 days prior to your session time.
• What are you doing to address guest health and safety during the experience? Only 10 children are allowed inside Kids Market at a time. We will be conducting contact tracing and ensuring guests are socially distanced in-queue and throughout the experience. Masks and hand sanitizer for visitors and staff will be provided. Surfaces will be disinfected between sessions. We are limiting the sharing of items between guests by handing out 1-time use pencils & shopping lists. All gift items will be behind plexiglass so that they are not handled by participants. All staff also go through health checks before each shift.
• Will there be adult supervision? Yes. There will staff members monitoring the market.
• Can I leave my child and go shop around? No. Parents/Guardians must remain in the Kids Market area outside the perimeter, which is designed for adults to be able watch from a distance.
• Is cash accepted? No, we only accept credit cards. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Important Guest Reminders:

• Each guardian and child are required to wear matching wristbands provided by Kids Market staff at all times.
• Guardian must always remain within eyesight during the experience. The duration of the experience will vary by child.
• All guests are required to answer health screening questions prior to checking-in.
• Guests with a fever or cold and flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, or body aches are required to stay at home and will not be admitted.
• All ticketed attendees must wear masks during the experience (check-in, interacting with staff, etc.) and participate in Kids Market from within the designated layout. All staff are required to wear masks to ensure your safety.
• Hand sanitizing stations will be available at check-in for guests to use.
• Social distancing reminders, including the use of distancing markers and extra spaces between seating, are throughout the space.
• Signage reminding shoppers and employees of safety precautions recommended by the CDC is posted throughout the center. Each seat will be sanitized and cleaned prior to guest's arrival.
