Event description
This week, Candace will teach us about monarch metamorphosis, we will make a monarch habitat and adopt a caterpillar.

About this event

The butterfly life cycle is called metamorphosis. See live monarch caterpillars at various stages of growth. Learn how you can help increase the monarch butterfly population.

Families can also adopt their own monarch caterpillar to take home, raise, and release with the help of the Pollinator Patrol Club.

Adoption Requirements:

Cages will be made for your monarch caterpillar at the program.

Milkweed is the caterpillar’s only food source. Families must have access to their own milkweed to continue feeding the caterpillar and it will eat a LOT!

This is designed for children between the ages of 6-12.

We are hoping for good weather and to work at the picnic table in our new back garden area.
