Mentors are what make our workshops so special.

Volunteer Mentors are integral to the success of each session. All it takes is a few hours of your time over a few Saturdays. If you’re bringing your child anyway, it’s even easier!

All of programs have a 4:1 ratio (or better!) which means that for every four learners there’s one volunteer mentor to help them. If you’re technical with experience with programming or design mentoring is a really rewarding way to give back. When mentoring, you’ll be assigned to a group of four learners over the day that you’ll have the chance to get to know and help as they learn, explore and get inspired by technology.

The best part? The ‘aha’ moments learners have throughout the day.

For start the courses themes will be:

1. Computer programming

  • web (frontend , backend)
  • mobile
  • hardware
  • gaming
  • database

2. Graphics / DesignMentors should ideally possess:

  • The willingness to create and deliver content passionately and interactively
  • A desire to encourage kids to take an interest in coding
  • An ability to think on your feet – kids can ask some very interesting and challenging questions

Anyone can be a mentor. You don’t need to be an expert in coding – all you need is a passion for helping kids learn. If you have an interest in coding, technology and programming, that’s a bonus!

Time: Saturday, every 2 weeks, from 7th February - 10.00 am - 1.00 pm.

*Register for a block of 5 to 16 Saturdays.
