Join us and learn how to program in a fun, engaging atmosphere for both kids and parents. We're a free coding club for youth and young adults ("ninjas") ages 7-17. We'll teach the basics and show you where you can learn more!
Disclaimer: The May 14th Scratch Day event is planned and hosted by CoderDojo STL, and has not been approved or endorsed by MIT.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Kids should generally be between 7-17, but younger are allowed. Adults should attend with their child or children and are required for ninjas younger than 12. In order to avoid confusion, adults should register for their own 'Parent' ticket (also free).
What can/can't I bring to the event?
If possible, please bring a laptop or internet-accessible tablet. There are additional activities that do not require a computer as well.
There aren't any tickets left? Can I still come?
Tickets are based on the number of volunteers, so check back later as more become available. Tickets may also be unreserved by other ticket holders before the event.
If you still want to attend without a ticket, be aware that ticket holders will have priority and walk-ins will be first-come, first-served. (Or in computer-speak, walk-ins are a "FIFO queue".)
