Dev Learning Labs is our new program format beginning this fall at kidOYO, designed to focus student participation on skill + project development goals. Students will engage in instruction time followed by open development time, supported by mentors.  This program is only open to students who have progressed beyond beginner-level instruction, as assessed by kidOYO developer-mentors.

The following learning tracks will be available:

  • Unity game dev with C# scripting
  • Python
  • Build the Web (html/css/javascript/++)
  • Java
  • AP CS A (academic path)
  • Hardware Engineering**

  * Assessment Challenges -  If you are new to kidOYO, once your registration is complete, you will be sent an invitation to complete an assessment challenge.  This will allow us to determine if this program is the right fit for your child's skill level. Please ensure that the student independently completes the asessment challenge.  If the kidOYO mentors assessing the submissions feel your student is better suited for a beginner kidOYO program, your registration fees will be applied to that program and the student will be transfered at no additonal fees.  If a balance remains, you will be refunded.

**Hardware - Advanced participation in this category will require students to submit a project proposal.  This will help us specifically know what you are interested in learning, what sort of hardware you are hoping to work with and what you want to do with your efforts. Acceptance of proposals will be based on kidOYO mentor assessments of feasibility.
