Description

This activity has been designed for health care professionals, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers and Dietitians in the specialties of primary care, urology and nephrology.

Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all attendees. Up to 6 credits for Nursing (CNE) and Social Work (CEU).

Staff will gain a better understanding of treatment options and approaches available to help improve the care of Kidney Disease patients. They will also have a better understanding of expected challenges and appropriate intervention for Kidney Disease patients and their caretakers as evidenced by a post activity follow up evaluation.

ACTIVITY OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

1. Identify ways to advocate for Kidney Patients

2. Increased awareness of chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease, infections and treatments

3. Examine how different modality options works with chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease patients

4. Identify options and best practices for chronic kidney disease, and end stage renal disease patients.
