It's time to celebrate survivorship!

About this Event

New York, NY (October 16, 2019) - In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kicked It In Heels -- an organization with the goal of eradicating health care disparities in breast cancer and promoting health in survivorship -- is hosting their 7th Annual Benefit. The fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, October 16th 2019, at Bagatelle from 7:00-10:00 PM, with passed hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. The event will be hosted by Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View, music by the amazing DJ Kiss.

Please meet honoree Nicole Cosby.

Nicole Cosby is a force to be reckoned with. We have watched her overcome and thrive after her breast cancer diagnosis. Nicole’s compelling story begins with the callous way she was given her diagnosis and the composure Nicole maintained throughout in order to share her story with us. We will let Nicole share the details, in the meantime, please meet our outstanding honoree!

Nicole Cosby is the Chief Data Officer for Fyllo. a marketing tech platform that powers compliance at scale for the cannabis industry.

An attorney by trade, Nicole began her career in fashion and media companies. More recently, Nicole served as SVP of Media Tech Standards and Partnerships at Publicis Media. Outside of the office, Nicole keeps busy with her involvement on boards of several charitable organizations. In 2018, Nicole was named as one of Cynopsis Media’s Top Women in Digital. In 2019 Nicole received the Facebook/PMX Marisa Marolf Strength Award and was named as one of Campaign Magazine’s Digital “40 Over 40” awardees.

All proceeds raised during the 2019 Kicked It In Heels fundraiser will support our mission, which is to eradicate health care disparities in breast cancer and to promote health in survivorship. We focus on breast cancer survivors, specifically young women and women of color. We provide basic information on screening and highlight survivors’ experiences as they reclaim their normal lives. After diagnosis, we are encouraging lifestyle adjustments and dialogue by offering workshops focused on fitness, beauty and wellness. Kicked It In Heels is also a vehicle to conduct community-based studies that address healthcare disparities.

We are making great strides but can always use more support. We hope that you will join us!
