Description

Kettle of Fish with special guests, Saturday 27 January 2018

Bristol’s own a cappella combo, Kettle Of Fish, return for their January spectacular! They will be joined on stage by some very special guest star singers.

Kerry Elkins (Original Sing), Ali Orbaum (Gasworks Choir leader), Jessica Samuel (Gasworks Choir and Bristol Show Choir leader) and Elaine Wilson (Riff Raff Choir leader) join David Yapp and Adam Barber (arrangers), Neil Bett, John Drowley, Jorge Sved and Tom Allen for a repertoire that ranges from the well-known and well-loved, to comical and undiscovered gems, the witty and the moving, the sublime and most definitely the ridiculous. Leonard Cohen, Elbow, Stephen Sondheim, Prince, They Might Be Giants, Icelandic folk singers and other lesser-known artists are all quite possible bedfellows at a Kettle Of Fish gig.
At times strangely beautiful, at other times beautifully strange and often just silly, this is a night of a cappella wonders.

“One word - Brilliant !”
“A really great evening of beauty, comedy and originality all in good measure! Loved it”

We apologise that the Bristol Folk House does not have wheelchair access or facilities.

It is designed on multiple levels with steps between the levels. Rear access is via a significant flight of steps. DDA assessment of the premises has been undertaken and providing level access for wheelchairs etc is deemed impractical. The Bristol Folk House was designed in the 1960's before regulations took proper care of access and equality issues.

Within the physical constraints of the premises, the service provider will seek to make the services of the Folk House available to as wide a range of people as is practically possible. If you have any questions - please do call us for more information.

We like to welcome everyone to the Bristol Folk House. We understand that everyone is different, and will do what we can to provide an inclusive and accessible environment. In order to help plan and judge whether our facilities are appropriate for you please speak to a member of the Folk House office team.
