  • Night Tracks cancellation
    Night Tracks final airing May 30, 1992
  • LA Riots
    Rodney King was beaten badly by police officers in L.A when resisting arrest in 1991. Unknown to the police, there was somebody filming it in the bushes. The police officers were handed a verdict of not guilty by the first review board. This caused racial riots to break out in south central L.A. and led to several days of rioting.
  • Bosnia and Hercegovina Secede from Yugoslavia
    April 1992, pretty much leaving Serbia and Macedonia as the last provinces of Yugoslavia
  • Peace in El Salvador
    In February, El Salvador signed peace agreements between the leftist rebels and the rightist government. Open elections followed two years later.
  • Quebec votes to remain part of Canada
    Quebec had been campaigning for many years to become independent, but the vote fell short of what was needed for the change to happen.

  • US/UN Humanitarian Invasion of Somalia
    US led invasion of Somalia to stop a country-wide famine that was caused by civil war and internal warlords. US/Un backed forces would withdraw in 1993

    While Performing "Fade to Black" in Montreal, Metallica's guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield stepped into a twelve foot flame and was then taken to a nearby hospital. The band did not continue the performance

The Kenwood Academy Class Of '92 25th Reunion Committee proudly presents: Kenwood Academy Class Of '92 * A Vision Of Elegance * 25 Years Later. Yes, we have all been able to reconnect via social media, but nothing can take the place of up close and personal...Come, play, party and reminisce, with the Class of 92'...ALL WEEKEND LONG.


 


We have a full weekend prepared for your enjoyment. Shuttle Bus Service will be provided to and from Friday and Saturday events. Please read below to learn more about what we are planning and where and when all the events take place. All-inclusive cost to attend this weekend of fun and excitement starts at $150 and includes: 


  • Registration and Alumni Swag Bag (includes 25th Reunion T-Shirt). There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee. Registration fee applied towards ticket purchase.

  • Shuttle Bus Service to and from Friday and Saturday events.

When: Saturday, July 22, 2017, Boarding starts promptly at 8:45pm and ends promptly at 9:00pm, Cruise 9:00pm - 11:00pm (10:15pm Fireworks)


Where: Anita Dee I Private Yacht


Departure: DuSable Harbor along the Riverwalk on the Chicago River


Attire: Sophisticated & Stylish - Dress To Impress


Shuttle Bus Service: Shuttle bus pickup in the front of Kenwood Academy at 7:00pm. Bus will be departing from the school at promptly 7:30pm. 


Parking: DuSable Harbor has on-site parking. Guests can walk down the Riverwalk directly to the yacht. *Depending on time/day of the week parking ranges from $16-$24. For alternative off-site parking locations see the ‘PARKING’ section below.

Mingle & Tingle: Bowling & Billiards


Food, drinks, and competition! Let's get rolling with an evening of bowling! Whether you just want to sit back and relax with cocktails and conversation or if you want to show off your competitive side with some bowling, pool, and/or shuffleboard, come strike up some fun as we have a ball kicking off our 25th Reunion Weekend Celebration!

Attire: Wear something you don't mind getting dirty with the potential of never coming clean again. Also take into consideration weather and padding and dress accordingly. 


Shuttle Bus Service: Shuttle bus pickup in the front of Kenwood Academy at 7:30am. Bus will be departing from the school at promptly 8:00am. After the event, you will be returned back in front of Kenwood Academy.


Parking: Free parking in Badlandz Parking Lot


Registration Includes:


  • 2 ½ hours of play on Private Outdoor Field

Kenwood Academy Class Of 92' 25th Reunion Bar-B-Que Celebration 


We’ll be finishing out the weekend with a Bar-B-Que!!! Bring the whole family for food, fun , games and activities . 



When: Sunday, July 23, 2017 12:00pm-7:00pm


Where: Park location to TBD


Attire: Casual...It’s a bar-b-que in the park…dress accordingly (be prepared, bring a change of clothes perhaps....you might get wet). Don’t forget your lounge chairs, blankets and/or tents.


Registration Includes:


  • Lots of Food, Drinks, Snacks
  • Live DJ
  • Bouncy House
  • Water Slide
  • Dunk Tank
  • Lots of fun games and activities for both the adults and the kids

 

 

Ticket Sales: 

Ticket prices reflect the budget to cover our projected expenses, which includes venue rentals, food/open premium bar, live DJ, photographer, extra activities, decorations, website hosting, etc. Thank you for your support and participation in making this a memorable Class Of 92' 25th Reunion Weekend!


Transportation: 


Shuttle bus service provided to and from Friday and Saturday events. Departure and return will be in front of Kenwood Academy at 5015 S Blackstone Ave, Chicago, IL 60615. You may park in the Kenwood Parking lot at no charge. Spaces are limited and are 1st come, 1st serve. Reminder to drivers to lock your cars and keep your valuables out of sight. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT OR DAMAGE TO VEHICLES LEFT ON PREMISES. See individual event details for individual event shuttle bus boarding and departure times.

Do I have to attend all Reunion Weekend Events?

No, but the ticket price includes all 4 events, so may as well ;)


 

Can I bring the kids?

Friday and Saturday events are for Adults only. The Sunday Bar-B-Que Celebration is for the whole family to enjoy. There will be activities and games that are both adult and kid friendly. There is no additional cost for the kids.

 

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No, Alumni tickets are not transferrable and the name on the registration/ticket must match the attendee(s).


I purchased an Alumni +1 ticket, but my guest can't make it. Can I get a refund?

No, there are no partial refunds. Email the Reunion Committee or inbox a member directly on Facebook and updating the guest's name can be discussed.

 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, by clicking your order on the Tickets page > select Edit > update your info > Save



Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

To make the registration process go as smooth as possible, the day of the event, please bring your tickets to the event registration area. You can access your ticket from your order confirmation email from the Tickets page of your Eventbrite account, or from the Eventbrite mobile app.



Do I need a PayPal account to pay for my tickets?/I don't have a PayPal account.

Signing up for a PayPal account is now optional. You don't necessarily have to create a PayPal account to pay someone via PayPal. PayPal will allow you to pay with your credit card. 

 

What is the refund policy?

Full refund, minus $25 per person, non-refundable registration fee, issued upon completion of an order cancellation. No partial refunds. Refund requests will be processed within 48 hours and will be issued back to the original payment method. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances after ticket purchasing has closed, as final count and payments have been submitted to all vendors. Deadline date for all ticket sale purchases and refunds is Friday, June 02, 2017 at 11:59pm CST.
