Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons License Course
This course is an 8-Hour course developed by The Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training as the necessary information for obtaining your concealed deadly weapon license for residents of Kentucky. This course is available via The Bulwarks by visiting the "CALENDAR" tab for a list of current courses.
List of Items Needed:
- A firearm in good working order. Bringing a spare is optimal in the event one fails to operate. It is preferred in a caliber larger than 9mm, but not a requirement.
- A minimum of 20 rounds of practice ammunition. Ammunition needs to be factory loaded. Reloaded ammunition must be approved prior to the class. Though failing the required 11 hits out of 20 is rare, bringing extra ammunition if a participant desires to practice prior to the qualification is authorized. Also if a participant were to fail the initial qualification, another attempt at qualifying is authorized.
- Eye and Ear protection
- A simple firearm cleaning kit
- Something to take notes with. A handbook is provided free to the participant in the class.
