Event description
There is no health without mental health. We have an agenda for change. The time is now.

About this Event

The opioid crisis. The rising suicide rate. The lack of affordable and accessible mental health treatment. The U.S. mental health system is in critical condition.

According to a recent poll, the majority of voters regardless of party affiliation, say they are more likely to support a 2020 candidate who promises to address mental health and addiction, and 75 percent of voters believe the country and the federal government are not doing enough to address mental health.

The necessary changes require uniting public and private sector leaders around a common agenda — an agenda for change. Join former U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy, The Kennedy Forum, current congressional leaders, and partners from Mental Health for US, The University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) Center for High Impact Philanthropy, and Well Being Trust to hear the community’s urgent action plan.

As soon as a location is confirmed, we will email all who have registered and update this registration page.

  • Mental Health for US is a first-of-its-kind nonpartisan, educational initiative focused on elevating mental health and addiction in policy conversations by empowering grassroots advocates and improving candidate and policymaker health literacy. The Mental Health for US coalition is comprised of over 67 stakeholder groups, including The Kennedy Forum.
  • Well Being Trust partnered with The Kennedy Forum to update the Forum's 2017 policy guide from the 115th Congress. Together our organizations will urge Congress to take specific actions to improve the U.S. mental health and addiction system.
