Kelly McKinney is long-known for his time a Deputy Commissioner of Emergency Mnagement for the City of New York, and more recently Chief Disaster Officer for the American Red Cross of Greater New York and New York University -- Langone Health.

McKinney's book -- Moment of Truth: The Nature of Catastrophes and How to Prepare for Them provides an eye-opening perspective on the realities of emergency management and catastrophe in modern urban environments, and the need to prepare.

Join us as we discuss teh book, lessons to be learned, and offer reflections on New York's and the nation's experience in planning, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters of all kinds.
