The Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation is pleased to bring to you this important and timely webinar entitled: Keeping the Workplace Safe for Staff and Patients.

Presenter: AnnMarie Papa, DNP, RN, CEN, NE-BC, FAEN.

AnnMarie Papa, is currently serving as president of the Emergency Nurses Association board of directors, the specialty nursing association serving the emergency nursing profession through research, publications, professional development and injury prevention. Papa’s term ended in December of 2011. Papa has been an emergency nurse for 33 years, working as a staff nurse, manager and director. She is currently the Clinical Director, Emergency Nursing of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Papa has been an ENA member for more than 30 years and is currently a lifetime member. She has served a number of roles in ENA at the local, state and national levels.

Other areas of service include representing ENA on the American College of Emergency Physicians Clinical Policies Committee and Regionalization Task Force. Also serving on the Manager’s, Elections Process and Annual Meeting Committees, she is currently co-editor for the Manager’s Forum in the Journal of Emergency Nursing. Papa has presented on many topics related to emergency nursing regionally and nationally and is a member of the ENA Key Concepts for Managers Core Faculty. Papa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 1995, from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2010 from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Papa has been certified in emergency nursing for more than 25 years, and was inducted as a Fellow into the Academy of Emergency Nursing in 2006
