Keep Fit While You Sit: Important Stretches for the Desk Worker with Dr. Sam Sanzone.
Demands of modern life may require us to spend extended periods at a computer screen, however, the Laws of Natural Healing favor a body that is in motion. In this workshop we will review a series of stretches designed to bring LIFE (in the form of flexibility and strength) back to our body. The best part is that they can be done right at your work station and take only minutes per day! Important stretches for the spine, shoulders, and wrists will be covered.
This is a free Co-op Wellness Class hosted in conjunction with Concord City Council.
Council Chambers is a few blocks from the Co-op near Statehouse Plaza and the Library (between the Police Department and City Hall – the building is attached to the Police Department with a separate entrance, set back a little bit). From I-93 N, take Exit 14 (State Offices Exit). Take a left off the exit and follow through six sets of lights. After you cross through Main Street (Holiday Inn and TD BankNorth at intersection), take a left onto Green Street.
Parking: On-street parking is available and free after 5 pm. The adjacent School and Capitol Streets generally have spaces available. Parking garages are located nearby on North State Street (near the YMCA) and just beyond that (headed towards downtown) on School Street/Warren Street. Click here for a map to the nearest parking garages. All parking is free after 5 pm.
