Event description

Description

“Science Literacy Week highlights Canada’s outstanding scientists and science communicators from coast-to-coast. The goals are to showcase the excellence and diversity of Canadian science and to show how exciting science is."

As part of Science Literacy Week, Kids Code Jeunesse will be running free workshops in 7 Canadian cities to celebrate science in the context of literacy. These workshops will invite children to build a coding project based on the book The Darkest Dark, by the astronaut Chris Hadfield.

Want to be a part of it? We're looking for volunteers to help run this workshop! Get involved and join us on September 20th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Toronto Tool Library in Toronto, ON to help out for this 2-hour workshop using Scratch! This workshop is for kids aged 8 to 12.

Volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to help set up.
