Event description

Description

As part of Science Literacy Week, Kids Code Jeunesse will be running free workshops in 7 Canadian cities to celebrate science in the context of literacy. These workshops will invite children to build a coding project based on the book The Darkest Dark, by the astronaut Chris Hadfield.
Science Literacy Week is a week-long celebration of science-based activities that highlight our outstanding scientists and science communicators from coast-to-coast. The goals are to showcase the excellence and diversity of Canadian science and to show how exciting science is.

Want to be a part of it? We're looking for volunteers to help run these workshops! Get involved and join us on September 22th from 10:00am to 12:00pm and/or 12:45pm to 2:45pm at New Westminster Library in New Westminster, BC to help out for these 2-hour workshops using Scratch! These workshops are for kids aged 8 to 12.
