Event description

Description

“Science Odyssey is a ten-day national campaign of discovery and innovation. It celebrates Canadian achievements in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by bringing together hundreds of events and science outreach leaders to deliver fun, engaging and inspiring activities to Canadians of all ages.”

As part of Science Odyssey and Scratch Day in 2018, Kids Code Jeunesse will be running free workshops in cities across Canada to celebrate computer science and education. Our Code, Create & Celebrate Space! project will invite students, teachers and librarians to learn to code a project with Scratch that introduces Canada’s work in space. Our 2018 projects all revolve around space, leading up to David St Jacques’ mission in November 2018.

Please bring your own laptop and join us on May 12th from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Calgary Central Library in Calgary, AB for this 2-hour workshop using Scratch! This workshop is for kids aged 8 to 12.
