Description

Kayak To Catalina For Kara’ and the ‘Kick-Off’ event are fund- rasing events for the Khamo family. Chris Khamo a staff Sgt medic for the United States Army and his wife Donniki Khamo who is a registered nurse have three children, 8 year old Robbi, 4 year old Kara, and 1 year old Donovan. Their 4 year old daughter Kara is fighting stage 4 Neruroblastoma cancer. She was diagnosed last year during the same time that Donniki gave birth to their son Donovan. The Khamo family loves attending Saddleback church in Anaheim, and Choc hosiptal is where Kara is receiving her treatment. A Saddleback church small group in Orange Ca are working together as a team on this fund-raiser.

The ‘Kick-Off’ event will be Friday, March 31 from 7-9 P.M. held at Saddleback church campus located at 2095 E.Katella Ave, Anaheim Ca, 92808. The event will cost $10 for adults. The island themed event will consist of appetizers, desserts, and drinks. There will be a silent action, where people can silently bid on some wonderful items. Face painting and a ballon artist will be there for the kids. There will also be guest speakers and entertainment.

‘Kayak To Catalina for Kara’ will take place at the end of June, pending on weather and swell conditions.It will consist of a team who will paddle non-stop from New Port beach harbor and will go out and around Catalina island and return back to New Port beach. The purpose for the events is to help raise awearness for child cancer and and fund- raise money for the Khamo family.
