Happy Holidays! From Broadway & Hollywood
Enjoy seasonal songs from Broadway and Hollywood musicals! Katie sings and shares the stories behind the most renowned holiday melodies of the 20th century, from “Silver Bells” to “White Christmas." Katie will be accompanied by David Pearl.

Katie Welsh is a singer specializing in musical theater and the Great American Songbook and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton University, where she took classes with Broadway directors John Rando and John Doyle and participated in master classes with Tony-award winning composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. She regularly studies voice with Judy Bettina and occasionally enjoys master classes and private sessions with the great American cabaret singer, Marilyn Maye. Katie’s recent performances have included solo engagements at Feinstein's/54 Below, Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, the Metropolitan Room, BroadwayCon, and the Princeton Club of New York. Katie is also a researcher and writer on topics of musical theater and has given extensive interviews about her work to Everything Sondheim and Musical Theater Today. Pianist David Pearl has performed in many of New York’s premiere venues (Joe’s Pub, Rainbow Room, Café Sabarsky, The Cutting Room, Symphony Space) and collaborates frequently with musicians in the jazz and classical community. He has been awarded grants from the New York State Council on the Arts to perform solo piano recitals, and his musical arrangements and transcriptions are published and performed regularly. He is the author of Piano Exercises For Dummies, The Art of Steely Dan, The Jazz Piano Collection, and The Art of Billy Strayhorn. He plays every Monday night at Bar Thalia in New York City, for Singers Space, which he established in 2011.
