10AM-1PM: Dyeing 101 (3 hours; one blank skein included in class fee). Dyeing is so complicated. You have to know all about the color wheel and the very special and scientific processes involved, and it's really not a thing beginners should... NONSENSE!!!! Dyeing yarn is easy. The core concepts are incredibly simple, and it's as uncomplicated and fun as dyeing eggs or painting with watercolors or using henna on your hair. Come learn the basics in nothing flat and have fun dyeing your own 100g skein of gorgeous sock yarn with A Hundred Ravens dyer Kate Bachus. Additional blank skeins can be bought for $20 each.
2PM-5PM: Gradient Dyeing (3 hours; one sock blank included in class fee). Everyone loves gradients! Subtle transitions from color to color without switching yarns makes for some beautiful projects and happy crafting. Learn to gradient dye with A Hundred Ravens dyer Kate Bachus, who will once again demonstrate that the only magic involved comes from your own creativity. Make your own 100g gradient skein of sock yarn in this fun class. Additional sock blanks can be bought for $30 each.
