Lunch with Kardec’s Vatapá
As described by Camara Cascudo, Brazilian anthropologist, Vatapá belongs to the Brazilian Culinary with African influence.
Vatapá is one of most appreciated dishes from Brazil’s Northeast region. Jorge Amado mentioned it several times in his famous books, as well as Dorival Caymmi in one of his famous songs. There are several different recipes for Vatapá, depending on the Brazilian regions. The one we will taste in this event is typical of Alagoas, a Northeast Brazilian State. This recipe is believed to be created in the “Quilombo dos Palmares”.
Our vatapá will be served with rice and salad. Brazilian deserts will be also served.
Due to occupancy restrictions in our location, the lunch will be served during two different time periods, and we ask you to select the one most convenient to you.
