John King - John King is the Membership Development Manager with The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. He started his career in the insurance industry and earned his AIC certification. John grew up in Olathe, Kansas and graduated from Olathe South High School. He continued his education at UMKC where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. He currently resides in Shawnee with his wife and young son.
Murray Woodard - Murray L. Woodard II is the External Partnerships Coordinator for Kauffman Scholars, Inc. (KSI) and an integral part of the operations team. He is involved with all aspects of developing and maintaining external program partnerships, corporate partnerships and volunteer programs. Previously, Woodard was a post-secondary coach for KSI and worked to support Scholars facing the challenges of life in college. Earlier, he was a high school recruiter/enrollment advisor for the University of Phoenix and an account executive for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was consistently recognized as Kansas City area “Top Salesman.” Woodard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a graduate certification in Grantsmanship from the University of Missouri. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City, and the Diversity Task Force for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. Woodard is a Kansas City native and a proud husband and father of two.
Courtney Meyer - Courtney Meyer was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and attended college at William Jewell in Liberty, MO. After graduating with a double major in Math and Organizational Communication, Courtney remained in Kansas City and she has been a resident here ever since. After a few years of several part time jobs and a short career at Sprint, Courtney found her niche in the hospitality industry at Starwood Hotels where she is currently a Sales Manager for the local corporate market. Through the stint of time searching for a satisfying career, Courtney embraced the importance of networking. She has been given many opportunities to volunteer for various organizations and events, as well as gain contacts and even friendships from valuable networking experiences. When Courtney isn't at work, or a networking event, she enjoys working out, meeting friends for happy hours, or spending time with her family and Pomeranian, Hank.
