Event description
Active Shooter: Mitigating the Damage

About this Event

HUB International invites you to join our 2019 Active Shooter seminar led by police department experts. We see active shooter incidents on the news, as coverage of these events has increased significantly, but we try not to believe it could happen to us. Should the unthinkable occur in your work or community, we want to make sure you are best able to respond. Are you fulfilling your duties to creating a safe environment? Are you focused on being proactive? Preparedness is essential as these incidents can happen at any time. In this seminar trainings will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Damage Mitigation - What to do after an "event"
  • Discuss Escape and Barricade "Tools"
  • Hands on First Aide/Tactical Medicine
  • Review of Run/Fight/Hide procedure
  • What to do when Law Enforcement arrives
  • Coordinating your Emergency Response plan
  • Discuss Policy Recommendations

Speakers:

Anthony R. First, Medical Support and Training Officer

Tulsa Police Department

Major Ryan Perkins, Training Director
