London, United Kingdom
Haydn's Trio in A-flat Major and Beethoven's noble Trio in E-flat Op. 70, No. 2 will be the bookends for the final concert of the season and the last installation of the "25 x 25 project."
New works by David MacDonald, Dwight Bigler, Ivica Ico Bukvic and the seminal Gunther Schuller will be heard. Mr. Schuller's handprint can be felt throughout much of America's art music of the last 50 years. He is the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, the MacArthur Foundation "genius" award, multiple Grammy Awards and ten honorary degrees. The Kandinskys are proud to include his new trio as part of their project.
