About this event
Sake is widely considered to be Japan’s national beverage. Join DC Sake cō’s owner Reiko Hirai and her team as they not only introduce you to sake, but also to some of the culture in Japan that surrounds sake itself.
Have you wondered what sake is? Have you wondered why sake is served at different temperatures? Do you want to know how to properly cheer with someone in Japan? Do you just like learning about Japanese beverages? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should definitely be Kampai-ing with us!
During the hour long interactive session we will cover:
-Essential sake basics
-The different ways sake can be served
-Some of the culture of sake in Japan
-Interactive tasting of three different sake to experience the versatility of this beverage
-And much more!
For around the cost of a single drink out on the town, you will get to taste three completely different types of sake, and learn more about its beauty and how to enjoy it.
If you think this is for you, don’t snooze! Space is limited.
All participants in this workshop must be Otakon membership badge holders and at least 21 years old on the day of the event.
About DC Sake cō:
In June 2020, D.C. Sake cō. became DC’s first local e-commerce site specializing exclusively in Japanese beverages. For years, people have been asking for high-quality sake – now, there is finally a platform for DC’s sake-loving community to come together. That’s why the “co.” in “D.C. Sake cō.” stands for collaboration, community, and connection.
Sake, an alcoholic beverage from Japan, has gradually developed a core fan base in the United States.
We look forward to expanding our delivery area and exploring how sake can bring communities together. Please stay in touch with us and keep an eye out for future events and adventures to connect with other sake fanatics!
D.C. Sake cō. is a woman-owned independent business.
